Old Kodak Camera

My most detailed and photorealistic model to date. It's an old Kodak 8-mm camera. We had it standing on a shelf, and I thought "what the hell, why not give it a go and model it?"

What system did you use to create the chopper?
It lags even on an i7 quad core with dual geforce 9800gx2.
It´s a really impressive model but can barely move the camera in the scene.

I know... Here's what I do to improve the framerate:
1. Set detail level in the window to low.
2. Using the plugin "Global ON/OFF", turn of the following: Hypernurbs, sweepnurbs, symmetries, and booleans.

That should speed things up a bit. You can also set the view mode or whatever it's called to "box". It's in the same menu as the details option.

It helps a bit.
I once found the mesh of the giant super star destroyer from star wars. It took similar time to refresh.
